Helping Targeted Poverty Alleviation, the Public Welfare Foundation of Beijing Found Town Enters Chahar Right Middle Banner in Inner Mongolia
August 30, 2019

In 2015, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China put forward the strategy of implementing targeted poverty alleviation. This year, China has entered a crucial year to win the battle against poverty.

Poverty alleviation through education is the most fundamental, basic and sustainable measure. The Public Welfare Foundation of Beijing Found Town responded positively to the call of counterpart support between Beijing and Inner Mongolia. Yesterday, it arrived at Chahar Right Middle Banner in Inner Mongolia to make donation with 500,000 yuan of school supplies to local students, helping targeted poverty through education.

In 1996, Beijing and Inner Mongolia established the counterpart support relationship. The poverty alleviation cooperation between them has become an important force for Inner Mongolia to win the battle against poverty for 23 years. In 2018, Beijing and Inner Mongolia signed a three-year framework agreement to comprehensively deepen cooperation, deepen one-to-one assistance, and work together towards a moderately prosperous society.

In the past two years, the Public Welfare Foundation of Beijing Found Town, taking caring for orphans and disabled children as its starting point, has continuously paid attention to and supported the growth and education of minors. It has carried out many public welfare actions, donating more than 3 million yuan successively. It also has launched such projects as the "Sunshine Flower Caring Plan" and "Nurturing and Supporting Teenager" to provide psychological, educational, medical and living assistance to vulnerable children and minors in hardship.

The Public Welfare Foundation of Beijing Found Town, aiming to "dedicate itself to the cause of charity and promote harmonious social development", supports charity projects like poverty alleviation, helping the elderly and the orphans, offering medical aid and helping students with financial difficulty. It undertakes social responsibilities, advocates the concept of charity and philanthropy and promotes harmonious social development.
