Beijing Fund Town held the fifth AMAC(Asset Management Association of China) law education seminar
On September 26th, the fifth AMAC(Asset Management Association of China) law education seminar was held in Beijing Fund Town, under the theme of “Asset Management and Securities Execution: Outlines, Trends and Issues”.
The seminar coincides with the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up policy, the 20th anniversary of issuing Securities Law, the 15th anniversary of issuing Securities Investment Fund Law, as well as the 10th anniversary of subprime crisis, so securities execution should meet inherent challenges and adapt to the new financial ecology and regulatory environment. It gives a deeper meaning to the law education seminar; that is, to reflect on the lessons learned and guard against financial risks.
Zhang Zixuue, professor of the School of Civil and Commercial Law in CUPL, member of AMAC(Asset Management Association of China) Self-discipline Supervisory Committee, former deputy director of CSRC Administrative Penalty Commission, integrated the above-mentioned backgrounds, and summed up eight main trends of current security execution in the nation; besides, he had a detailed account of the law enforcement of asset management agencies acting as other information disclosure obligor, concerning relevant cases like large shareholding, transaction in assets, and active shareholders; moreover, he put great emphasis on the doubtful and controversial issues in terms of insider trading, market manipulation, rat trading, and short swing trading.
Deng Huanle, director of AMAC(Asset Management Association of China) Legal Department, chaired the lecture and stressed the importance of day-to-day regulated operation. He claimed that Beijing Fund Town would host more publicity and education campaigns for law education and regulated operation, push forward legal education in the industry, and facilitate healthy and regulated development of the industry.
