On August 27th, the CCTV Financial Channel of the Central Broadcasting and Television Station and the China Securities Regulatory Commission’s Investment Service Center jointly hosted a large-scale knowledge contest on investor rights——the “Shareholders are Coming” final training camp opened in Beijing Fund Town! Xu Ming, general manager of the China Securities Regulatory Commission’s Investment Service Center, Fang Tielin, editor of the CCTV Financial Channel of the Central Broadcasting and Television Station, and Wu Lei, deputy director of the Beijing Fund Town Management Committee, gave an opening speech. In the past three years, as the only national-level characteristic town in China with fund-oriented industries, Beijing Fund Town has carried out a variety of investor education activities based on the concentrated development of the fund industry. In the future, Beijing Fund Town will continue to deepen the construction of investor education bases, continuously innovate teaching ways, build a legal protection system for investors, and further promote the healthy development of China’s capital market. In the four days in Beijing Fund Town, the players will improve their understanding with teammates and opponents through the introduction of ice-breaking, outward training, stimulative competition, and deployment recovery. They will familiarize themselves with the rules of the games and will “polish” themselves into the best state for the upcoming finals. “Shareholders are Coming” is a large-scale knowledge contest on investor rights launched by CCTV Finance Channel. Aimed at the public, it popularizes the knowledge of rights and interests protection in the form of competitions, advocates investors’ rational investment, and guides investors to “fully understand the rights, actively exercise the rights and legally protect the rights”, forming a benign market ecology of striving to be a qualified investor and a rational investor. The entire competition lasted for 4 months, including three stages: online mass-election, regional election and final. The final will be broadcast on CCTV Finance Channel.
