On the morning of 5^th May, the “Amazing China -- 2018 Spring Beijing International Long Distance Walk Carnival” had a rip-roaring start in Beijing Fund Town. About 25,000 long distance walk enthusiasts from financial groups and other social groups assembled in the Town and walked through mountains, waters, and bulb fields to experience the harmonious coexistence of natural ecology and financial ecology in the Town with Chinese characteristics – the unique charms of Beijing Fund Town.

 The year 2018 marks the time of the 40^th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up, the 20^th anniversary of China’s fund industry and the 10^th anniversary of the Spring Beijing International Long Distance Walk Carnival. At the moment of China’s reform and opening-up for 40 years, this Long Distance Walk Carnival has been held with the theme of “Amazing China”. In addition, the brilliant achievements obtained since the reform and open-ups have been displayed along the way of the route, which makes the walkers feel the development and strength of their motherland. Meanwhile, the Declaration on Social Responsibility of China's Fund Industry (shortened as the Declaration) was also officially released to the public on the morning of 5^th May. By releasing the Declaration, China’s fund industry, for the first time, publicly announces its historical mission and social responsibility to the world; the experience summarization and self-innovation of China’s fund industry over the past 20 years; the solemn commitment and solemn oath for China’s fund industry to enter the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics.

The following groups attended the long-distance walk and grabbed headliners for the carnival: Asset Management Association of China;10 incipient fund companies in China; Top 10 fund corporations in scale; 60 members of Asset Management Association; China Association for Public Companies; Securities Association of China; China Banking Association; China Futures Association; Insurance Association of China; National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors; Investment Association of Central Government-Owned Enterprises; The Listed Companies Association of Beijing; Beijing Municipal of Financial Work; Capital Financial Service Chamber of Commerce; CSDC; Beijing Normal University; CCTV; Xinhua News Agency; Capital Institute of Science and Technology Development Strategy; Grand-Duche De LUXEMBOURG, See Foundation; and industry-university-research institutions.

Regarding its set-up, this round of long-distance walk carnival offers three lines namely an 8-kilometer ‘road of homage’, a 16.5-kilometer ‘road of prosperity’ and a 21-kilometer ‘road of moving’ for an independent selection with each line demonstrating relevant theme displays and jubilant games to incorporate entertainment and joy to the long-distance walk. Escorted with attractive landscapes and pleasant sceneries with a variety of topographies covering springs, wetlands, brooks, ponds, lakes and mountainous slopes, participants can be surrounded by sceneries and fans of long-distance walks can get their needs for exercise, leisure, and relaxation satisfied. Participants who walk through any of the three routes and get verified along the line can acquire a commemorative stamp as a souvenir.
