On November 16-17, the Asset Management Association of China ("AMAC") and Beijing Fund Town jointly held an advanced training course on sustainable debt financing tools. Trainees included the relevant leaders of the Ministry of Commerce, the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the AMAC, relevant senior executives and business leaders from Southern Asset Management, Guotai AMC, Rongtong Fund, Wanjia Asset, and other mutual fund management companies, and representatives of Beijing Fund Town.

In recent years, under the guidance of the UN's SDGs and China's carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, the launching of relevant policies was accelerated, and GSSS bonds (green, social, sustainability, and sustainability-linked bonds) burgeoned. In order to help sector bodies get an understanding of international cutting-edge theories and practical results concerning ESG development and promote the development of green finance in China, Mr. Paul Chahine, Sustainable Finance Manager of Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) and Chief Instructor of Luxembourg Green Exchange (LGX), was invited to give a lecture in this training.

Luxembourg, one of the world's financial centers and the world's second-largest investment fund center, ranks among the best in bonds, green finance, investment trusts, etc. In combination with the innovative practices of LuxSE and LGX in sustainable finance, Mr. Chahine systematically lectured on the history of the capital markets of sustainable finance and sustainable bonds, the market overview, the newest trend, relevant cases, issuance principles, external reviews and reporting of sustainable debt instruments, green taxonomy, and the issuance and listing of sustainable bonds in international exchanges, and further discussed and communicated with trainees on the course content and issues of concern to trainees to enhance learning effectiveness.

As a strategic partner of UNIDO Green Industry Platform, Beijing Fund Town has been actively promoting the development of green finance. During the training, Mr. Chahine visited Beijing Fund Town (Zhongguancun Chaoyang Park) Sharing Center, and got a deeper understanding of Beijing Fund Town. He expected that LuxSE and Beijing Fund Town would work together to promote the development of green finance in the future.
